Charming and “ folky “ milkpaint decorated small child/doll wooden rocker with teal paint and gold stenciled striping, and a faint painted flower still visible in center back support. The maximal pertinent dimensions are 16” ( 41cm ) tall from floor to tallest point in back, 15” ( 38cm ) rockers front to back, and about 11” ( 29cm ) side to side at arm rests. Paint is in relatively good condition with some typical age wear at usual stress points, and the tightly woven original reed rush seat still strong with no serious weak points. Probable vintage late 19th Century so any doll from about 1850- 1910 of proper proportions would be at home and look impressive as a future occupant!………………………….US$ 295.

Supremely rare and nearly impossible to find in this quality and/or this size ,{ 6 ½”, ( 17cm ) tall, 3” ( 7.5cm ) wide, and 3” ( 7.5cm ) deep}, antique chair. It is most accurately described as “ladderback -form and having a highly woven rush seat with relatively short legs in front, two tall thin legs in back, as well as three back supports with flat bottoms and curved tops. Near base and close to the ground are four thin stretchers glued into the vertical supports. The entire surface is decorated in pale green milk paint with floral designs on the front of the backrests. All the legs also have red painted diagonal red band stripes for added detail of design. Perfect for seating good quality proportionally sized dolls of any type, and maybe even more-so perhaps, good quality miniature jointed teddies of any age or type!………US 295.

Very basic, but highly useful, generic antique wooden chair with original reddish-copper milk painted finish in sturdy original condition circa 1870-1900 with largest dimensions being 18 ½” ( 47cm ) tall floor to highest rung back, 10 ½” ( 26cm ) back to front on seat, and 9 ¾” ( 24cm ) from back vertical wooden rung supports to front edge of flat seat. We have taken this chair as a prop for doll shows for at least the last thirty years and never once did it not manage to provide seating for at least one ( and more often several ) dolls as it neither too big nor small for a myriad of likewise era dolls whose bodies permit bending at hips and knees. Paint decoration is original with typical wear in normal areas of stress. ………US$ 295.

Hard to find antique decorated wooden bench allowing seating of multiple dolls together, depending upon various sizes and abilities to be placed in a seated position, with “gold-ish” paint outer finish to simulate wood graining as opposed to the normal floral or other more typical artwork. The tallest height is in back from floor to center top horizontal curved back rest and is 18 ½” ( 47cm ), 25” ( 64cm ) side to side plank seat, with 8 1 /2” ( 22cm ) maximum width front to back of actual seat. Under the seat panel one can view the actual raw wood grain which has an old red clear stain coating. Of the two wooden stretchers securing the four extreme outer legs at bottom, only one has the matching “ gold grain “ painted technique so most likely, the other could be an old replacement. Great for large to medium-large cloth dolls, or any late 19th-early 20th Century dolls whose bodies are constructed in a safe and secure allowable positioning!!!………………..US$ 475.

Artistically designed and produced antique chair for doll ( or vey small child ), simply but well decorated in light red milk paint, black accent lines, gold leaf bands, with the backrest consisting of four vertical spindle rungs that attach to one similar heavier one in horizontal position with the two center vertical ones extending though and then upward again to a similar but much shorter horizontal spindle above. The support stretchers located beneath the seat are at different levels with the side ones lower to the ground and the upper ones consisting of a slender simple design in back but the one in front more detain of carving with what appears to be a faux acorn design in front. Assumed to be of a later Victorian era item, it stands tallest in back at 19 ½” ( 49cm ) floor to top rung, 10 ½” from top of slanted back forward to edge of legs in front, and 9 ½” side to side at the seat. A very lovely chair with much thought given in its construction……………US$ 395.

A short legged miniature wooden chair ideal for the right size late 19th Century doll with tightly woven rush seat, two thick but short legs in front at front of seat, and two much taller legs in parallel position in back that form not only support but secure two curved painted decorative back rest panels, one in center, and the other horizontally parallel not quite reaching to the very top. All the wood is painted in milk paint in dark tones with simple floral designs on front sides of the backrest pieces. Tallest point in back at 14 ½” ( 35cm ), 7 ½” ( 19cm) on sides back legs to front legs, and widest point side to side at front legs 9” ( 23cm ).
