c246b.jpg (190164 bytes) Very nice Steiff horse on wheels, probably circa 1920's, 17 1/2" ( 44cm ) tall to top of ears, 16" ( 41cm ) long. The orange and white felt horse has button in left ear ( " underscored ' F ' " markings, brown and black glass eyes , blue ( slightly faded ) felt blanket under saddle, and all its original leather trappings and saddle, all in remarkably good condition for its age. The horse stands on two iron rods ( with two shorter rods supporting the four original red painted wheels ). Although he has some typical light fading and surface dust, the piece is in overall in very good and firm condition........................................SOLD.

Lovely 11 1/2" ( 29cm ) pair of Steiff dressed rabbits, boy and girl with buttons in ear and silk tags sewn on feft arms reading " made in US Zone, Germany". Both have sewn on orange felt shoes, he sewn on green felt trousers, and she a sewn on felt green blouse. She also wears her original red and white checkered cotton skirt attached in back with open to allow her tail to protrud, and both retain their pale orange silk ribbon collars tied into bows. They have smiling open mouths, nylon whiskers and are in near mint condition and are indeed a very happy pair!.......................SOLD.

Very rare Steiff toy shown in the 1913 Steiff Catalogue which was marketed as " Record Peter" . For whatever reason Steiff applied the suffix " Record " when referring to their figures riding similar wheeled cycles with bellows mechanisms. This monkey has a felt face with sewn on red felt costume with large over size bib collar, a red felt fez with black silk thread tassels, small brown glass eyes , felt ears with original Steiff metal button in the left with the ( underscore "F" signature ) and the tiniest remnant around the edges of a white paper tag . When pulled by the leading string the animal leans forward and then goes back to an upright position. The wheels are wood painted in original mustard yellow paint and the frame of the cycle is painted black metal. Although still functioning mechanically, the bellows no longer makes any sound. One small moth hole in the felt on right arm, and two smaller ones of left arm although colors are still bright and very clean considering his age.  A rarely found piece!..........SOLD

A rare 4 1/2" ( 11.5cm ) Steiff dressed " Teddy Baby " miniature figure from the early 1950's with swivel neck and jointed at the shoulders and hips and wearing the original plaid print cotton shirt and red bibbed felt overalls. He has two toned brown glass eyes, a brown mohair head and ears with black stitched nose and mouth and a beige velvet muzzle. The hands and feet are rubber ( slight age deterioration as is typical ) and the clothes are sewn around the body and the pants are glued to the back of the heels of the feet. Any " Teddy Baby " bear is rare and desirable and the factory dressed Steiff figures are always hard to find. .SOLD
